Let Solutions™ Software help you get to the right decision — faster

Because time with your patients is limited, you need information readily available and organised to spot trends and make the right treatment decisions quickly. Solutions Software helps you make the most of that time by organising your diabetes patients’ insulin, carbohydrate* and blood glucose information into convenient charts, graphs and tables.

Everything comes directly from the pump and meter, so you can be confident that it’s accurate and complete.

Solutions Software offers plenty of ways to customise patient information:

  • Eleven report options — you decide how you want to look at the data
  • Up to three months of information available for long-term trending
  • Printing options let you select the reports you like best, and the software will just print those every time
  • Customisable views for each patient because every patient has different issues to address

When using Solutions Software with the Paradigm® 512/712/515/715/522/722 insulin pumps, you can wirelessly send insulin and carbohydrate* information to your computer** via USB or serial cable. After that, you can add blood glucose data from some blood glucose monitors.

Reports in Practice

Scenario #1: Patient having trouble with highs*

Discovery: Solutions Software reveals highs that seem to be primarily occurring after meals. Looks like patient may be giving inappropriate boluses or counting carbohydrates incorrectly.

Therapy Adjustment: Now you can zero in on the real problem. Review carbohydrate counting or revisit insulin-to-carbohydrate ratio with this patient to tighten post-prandial control.

Scenario #2: Adolescent presents with dramatic weight loss and elevated HbA1c, yet logbook looks perfect*

Discovery: Although the patient’s logbook shows a bolus, Solutions Software shows that she never gave herself the insulin. Scroll through more days to see if patient is regularly skipping boluses.

Therapy Adjustment: Talk to patient about insulin’s effect on weight, and help patient find other ways to control weight without skipping boluses.

Scenario #3: Patient complains of being tired during the week*

Discovery: Solutions Software indicates patient has episodes of hyperglycaemia that tend to only occur on the patient’s days off from work.

Therapy Adjustment: Adjust basal rates for decreased activity on days off to avoid hyperglycaemia.
Summary of relationship between average blood glucose reading and total insulin administered by day of the week for a specific time period. For example, view average blood glucose and insulin for 12 Mondays or 8 Tuesdays.
